Sorry Mr Obama you are wrong on your views about Dr Martin Luther King. Jr.

Mr King was not about service no sir.

First and for most Dr King was about god and faith. He was about equality and people not seeing color but neighbors. He was about helping neighbors not about service. If Dr King were alive today he would be ashamed of America. It was his faith in god that got him through the nights and days in jail. It was his sense of justice and equality for all not service.

You Mr Obama are trying to re write history in your image. You sir besmirch a great man that you will never attain what he accomplished.

If Dr King were alive today Mr Obama you would hate him. Because of his faith in god and his opposition to abortion.

I totally agree with you, POV. Unfortunately, Dr. King is no longer with us and the people who insist on re-writing his history are the same that insist he was a Democrat!

In case you haven't seen this, it's Washington's statue covered for a MLK tribute by the NAACP. Yeah I'm sure Dr.King would approve.

Thank you Walter when I heard what Obama said it really hit a nerve with me. Dr King was not a socialist like this joker is. If Dr King would have been president he would have been a president all Americans would be proud of.

After reading some more on the statue being covered i find that they do that for every public event. Therefore I was misled and would like to apologize to the NAACP for not getting all the facts on that story.
