What's the deal with Farscape?

Did he quit or get banned? I see all his posts now shows as guest and his user name no longer appears in the members list.

He must of quit because I didn't ban him. Unless something is wrong.

Yep he must of quit. I find it weird that he quit I let him say pretty much what he wanted. I never warned him of anything kind of weird that he would quit like that.

What you all do make him mad. Maybe he just gave up. Damn I was finally happy to have at least one liberal I would loved to have had more. Maybe if Sam would have showed up also he would have stuck around longer. I liked Farscape he was pretty cool.

He WAS cool, a bit 'lost' as Libs tend to be, but he MAY have bowed out when he used 'Lucifer's Manual' or whatever it is called, as a end-all-be-all reference to how things ought to be. Kinda like the kid who used 'The Venus Project' over in SyFy I suppose.
But what do I know, I stopped paying attention to him when he followed one of my statements about what should have happened with the Auto Industry and the Banks as being 'Speculative' with a blatant speculative statement himself! I don't even think he saw what he did, and I was NOT in the mood to point it out to him.

I do hope he returns though. I liked how he claimed reading a contract for a large amount of money was not really the responsibility of the person SIGNING said contract! Typical Lib, never actually wanting the one actually responsible when there was that 'big bad rich guy' to blame it on! I can safely say this because I am MARRIED to a Lib with that same outlook.

Honestly I can't say as I'll miss him. He proved himself over and over to be completely clueless about anything. On top of that I found his name calling tiresome and childish. Everything he accused people here of, from racism to making things up and not providing proof, applied to him far more than any of us. It's like a child with only one agenda, to say "No, your wrong because I say so." no matter what is said. At least somebody like Samurai can conduct himself properly and carry on a debate instead of making things up and name calling.

I miss Samurai, how's he been?

Maybe I was the final straw for him and he felt like he was getting ganged up on. Sorry about that.

Oh well, he should have had the thick skin he often claimed we Cons DON'T!

I might PM him over at SyFy and see what the deal is. I have not decided yet. I wished he would have at least said why he was leaving.

He made comments a few times about how we don't/can't carry on an intelligent debate, and how his eleven year old can argue better than we can etc. And threatened to leave at least twice citing this as the reason. I think it's apparent why he left, he couldn't win a argument! Getting proven wrong left and right, and getting called out for resorting to name calling, left him with nothing else to do other than run home from the park and hide in his room.

Last thing I'd do is go begging him to come back. He can come back anytime he wants, if he stops pouting.

POV, I agree with eber322. We do NOT need to go with our hats in our hands, begging him to come back, to forgive us for disagreeing with what he said (see my PC rant on another page). IF anything, WHEN/IF he comes back he ought to apologize to those he insulted with his tactics. That won't happen, but when/if he comes back, I for one, will just go as though he never left, and my 'gloves' will STAY off because that is how I roll!

I was not going to beg him to come back. I just wanted to know what was going on. However if he contacts me I will talk to him. But will leave it up to him if he comes back. Somehow I think he will return anyway.

Of COURSE he will, if he stays away, he will perceive it as a victory for us, if he comes he will think he can somehow change us! It will be a 'win/win' for us and for him (because we WILL wear him down and then smarten him up!) :suspect:

I just want someone on that side with a bit of stones to stick around.

I guess Farscape was not that tolerant after all.

It's hard to be a lone voice in the wilderness, and from his perspective, he certainly was.

Well I was hoping he would stick around until a few more showed up.

He may also feel naked without the protection of moderators which will censor views from the right side of the spectrum.

Maybe you could promise to summarily delete any post which makes sense. :D

Oh, that's the guy I was just arguing with over at Syfy. He was making the most absurd statements about wanting full, frontal nudity on television because that would actually cause less teen pregnancy. I tried to reason with him, although I was a bit abrupt. I didn't like the latest episode of Warehouse 13 or the sexually suggestive content it contained. He said, "Name one time that a picture of nudity or sex has ever caused a problem." So, I named nearly a dozen things that sex causes from STD's to pornographic addiction. He started trying to say that some of these are actually good things. There wasn't much point of continuing the conversation after that.

Yeah, I posted on there too.. I wasn't able to get on from work that day (They do make me actually work once in a while : ( ) or I would have posted a similar list of harm caused. He just can't present a logical argument.

You know when Bush was in office the liberals were crazy they would post everyday Bush did this Bush did that. Now that their guy is in charge and poll numbers going down public opinion is not on their side they wont even come on anymore and defend the position they take.

Regardless if he could change our minds no way that would happen he knew that. Just like no way we were going to change his mind. I do not understand why start something then just quit?

Well, he was getting his arse handed to him over here. And he couldn't depend on a friendly, liberal moderator deleting posts that were cutting his ideas to ribbons, either. Liberal ideas and arguments have never been able to stand up to logical thought; that is one of the reasons why left-leaning people want to control the media, so they can control what people hear.

One thing I am proud of is I never once deleted Farscapes posts. I did edit a few taking out the insults but left the jist of his point. He cannot say I did not treat him correctly because I also deleted some other insults of other people but left the point in.

Really? I found his implied insults that I was a closeted gay, and that Annoyed and I where both racists bad enough, probably a good thing I never saw the direct insults. Lol.

Ya he had some direct ones that I deleted. But the closeted gay thing is something that I expected from the left. Maybe I should have deleted it. But I was more then fair to him.
