One thing in particular I'd like to comment on.
"Schmidt stresses that anonymity will remain on the Internet, saying there's no chance that "a centralized database will emerge."

If this is allowed to happen, not only will a centralized database emerge, it will also be compromised, exposing everyone on it to identity theft.
