| Im starting to get into the show and the characters. It kind of reminds a little like Lost with all the going back in time with the characters lives. Just hope I dont put several years into the show with another lousy ending. | |

| Ya I watch it. But forgot to record it last night makes me mad because if you miss one episode you are lost. | |

| Hulu my friend, Hulu.
I like this show ok. Don't think it's great, but it's ok. I'd rather have had this show canceled and kept Lonestar though.

| Lonestar WAS a show about a conman trying to go straight... despite the fact that he had two wives and was leading a double life in two towns in Texas. He had been conning people in town A into buying shares to fake oil wells, then his father in law in the other town, B, brought him into his oil company as an exec. He decided to make a real go of it, so he used his new position in town B to buy land in town A. He then started setting up a wind mill farm to make money. His plan was to tell the buyers that the wells went dry so he switched to wind. He was having a real time juggling two wives and two sets of identities that were starting to collide. He insisted he actually loved both women, who were originally just marks, so he was going to stay with both. Ad to that his conman Father who didn't want to go straight, and was actively planning to screw his son over behind his back and bilk the father in laws company. It was IMO the best new show of the season. Unfortunately, Fox never advertised the show, pitted it against The Event that everybody knew about, then canceled the show after two episodes because of low ratings. Gee, I wonder why it had low ratings? Typical stupidity of Fox. I wish that they'd move it over to FX and pair it with Terriers, they'd make a good fit. | |

| The Event is probably the best new kid on the block this season. I hope it does well. But I rather doubt it will. As has been pointed out, you have to keep up with it, or you're lost, and the mass viewing public doesn't have that long an attention span, or an appreciation for long, intertwined stories. | |

| Did you all watch Event the other night. I did I thought they rescued the girl to quick. I also hear they are going to spill the beans as to why this group is here. | |

| I know sounds like a one season show. Or a really good season ender. | |

| No, I don't think the rescue was too quick.. she's been a hostage/prisoner since the first episode.. that was getting old.
I HOPE it isn't a one season show, as it's really good, but mainstream America usually won't embrace a Sci Fi show in sufficient numbers to make it fly, particularly one where you have to pay attention.
They'd rather watch mindless barnyard dancing, dancing celebrities and overweight men in tights grabbing each other.

| I'm going to go out on a limb and take a guess.
The detainees are actually aliens and their purpose is to kill all humanity and take our planet. I think they're concern for human life is just an act and that all of them are equally ruthless.

| Actually, my wife informs me I was mistaken. What she ACTUALLY meant was that the visitors ARE 'human' and the people we see are REALLY the 'aliens'. She thinks we are seeing what those 'Earthlings' are seeing when we visited THEM! Or something like that. She does, however, like my mistaken theory as well. | |
