| I guess nothing is happening in other peoples lives. i hope that everybody here hasn't stopped breathing in an anxiety attack over the coming elections.
While I hope things are going well for everyone. I'm setting in Indianapolis, In. I just spent almost 2 days in the shop, waiting to get a windshield replaced and my Aux power unit serviced. An apu is a small diesel motor that charges the batteries and powers the heat and AC of the truck it's mounted on. I love the thing sense it has a 1500 watt inverter that powers a lot of my electronic gadgetry in truck
Right now, I have a 5 ans 1 computer speaker system hooked up to the XM satellite receiver, a gps device that can run on either ac or dc and a Bluetooth headphone hooked up to it and it powers them well.

Glad you have truck gadgets to play with. All we have is a computer and a Trak Phone. Dark ages here.
Oh, I do have anxiety about the coming elections. With Obama we die, and with Romney we're status-quo screwed. The Constitution is a dead thing of the past with these rotten DemoPublican candidates! Aaugh!!!!! On top of that... I had a tooth pulled and my wife just had cataract surgery today, so we've been busy. Healing is slow. And this gray squirrel we've been feeding just climbed up the wall (we live on the second floor) and onto our screen! That isn't normal and now we're worrying that it might have rabies. Too much going on at once. We need a stress break.

| Well everythings chaged. That old truck I used to drive is being sold, so they took me out of that and shoved me into a brand new one that has just about everything a person could want. I still miss my old truck. I wished I could have bought it, but that option has passed.
The one thing is that they started me on this electronic logging, which is the log we as truck drivers use to document the hours we use. The paper logs were much easier to use and you could modify them, If you need to. The electronic logs are almost imposible to do that. Don't get me wrong I don't cheat on my logs, but moving a truck out of the place that you pickup or deliver, to the street outside, shouldn't be a federal case.
On the paper logs, you didn't have to show that as driving and you could incorporate that 200' movement into your break as if it never happened. On the electronic logs it shows as a violation. That sucks and I'm not very sure wither I will be staying at this company.

That sucks and I'm not very sure wither I will be staying at this company. I wish you could have bought it, but trucks are expensive. I used to live with a truck driver and his dream was to be an owner-operator. He always wanted a...I forgot the term...the one that isn't a "conventional." He didn't like those - too bumpy and you sit over the wheelbase.
Sorry to hear about your new problem. I never liked electronic logs, and my company was switching to them when I left. escaped just in time. It does sound idiotic that less than 200' movement is a violation. Could your boss change that?
We're the only two posting here now, but I hope the others will come back. Lulls do happen.
I just maced that damn squirrel. I don't think it has rabies - it's just obnoxious. It runs right to my feet and looks like it wants to jump on me whenever I go outside. Now perhaps it has learned a lesson. :suspect:

| Next time use a broadsword, it has a greater reach and you don't get that spattering effect of using a mace. (Here's how I spell relief, SOOMACKKKK! lol.) Squirl tail, anyone?   | |

Oh yeah, my broadsword. Wish I could post a photo of me holding it; it's quite long and heavy. I love knives and swords. Almost as much as guns. :face:

| I think it died. It started as an escape from the biased moderation at Sci Fi's boards, but as Sci Fi's board traffic has declined as fewer and fewer people watch the channel, the traffic here has declined as well. Unfortunately, this place didn't achieve critical mass, the point at which it has enough users to grow on its own, independent of the Sci Fi boards | |

| Well, as long as some of us keep posting it will never die.
So, how many of you will now declare before all the world that you will keep posting here for as long as the internet is still up and running?
1) Skycastle 2) 3) 4) 5)
Or am I being too optimistic?

Or am I being too optimistic? You're being optimistic. It would more properly be phrased "As long as the government allows the site to operate".

Arright! The Three Postkateers have stepped forward. We should all have swords. I do, and when I get a chance I'll take a photo and post it. You guys have swords?

So we have 4. It's a start.
