Probably. Just like they released that obviously fake BC just because they knew nobody with any power would care, but it would make Obamas opponents look bad if they dared to say boo.

I was watching MSNBC news they are playing this clip like a badge of honor.

To them it is. They know Obama is a foreigner due to his adoption, they know he was never NBC because of his British father. And they know that even coming out and admitting it, like they are, will not cause anybody with any power to do a damn thing. So, they are proudly touting the fact and rubbing it in the face of everyone who doesn't like it.
