What will you do now? Will you go back to complaining (or not) about what those freshly elected people are doing? Will you take the extra step and write a letter to your representative? Send an email about something you see that you would like that rep to change? Will you, on a local level, go to the city hall meetings and have your say about laws they are passing IN YOUR TOWN? Will you go to a county board meeting to give your thoughts if the county is doing something you don't approve of. When the state administration does something you don't care for, how did you let them know what you felt? By complaining here? Or did you take the time and do you duty and call/write/email that person?
Think about this, there is a new drug a company is trying to push through, but YOU and your friends already know this drug will be more dangerous and costly. But you just complain to each other and hope somebody in charge will know what it is you want to do. However, that company has sent a representative to wine and dine that person to ease this drug into the market. So, who will be heard the loudest? Not the people that didn't take time to be responsible citizens and TELL their representatives what to do and how to vote, but the person right there, is the one that is only out for the profit, and with no complaints, that is exactly what will happen, EVERY time!
All I am saying is now is NOT the time to go back to the 'normal' complaining. Now is the time to make SURE our leaders are BEING our REPRESENTATIVES!
think about it!
