There is a lot of fear in America because of the economy. I'm fairly sure the hate groups are looking for targets and those who are supposed to be well off are targets. It seems to be a stereotype that Jewish people are always in the money, so I would mark thing down as a hate crime with an occupy wall street sentiment.

It would take a LOT of hatred to do that to somebody, and it wouldn't surprise me if it were based on his being Jewish. But federal hate-crime laws are UnConstitutional and we should work to abolish these usurpations of power.
