The creators of "All in the Family" used Archie Bunker very intelligently on many different levels beyond simply pointing out the ignorance of bigotry and racism.

Although portrayed as an idiot in many ways, on many different fronts, Archie had an accurate analysis of the problems facing the country and advocated the best solution.

Yeah, he had better political positions than any of the others. Interesting video with a good ending.
