| That's cool. I'm surprised a High School in this day and age would even honor servicemen.

Here's my plaque on my high school's "Hall of Honor," which recognizes those who served in the armed forces. Unfortunately I left the service back in 1980 and couldn't find any of my old Air Force photos.
HA,Ha, I got you beat. I'm uglier Ha,Ha..........Wait a minute............................. This is what truckdriving will do to you.

| Ha, I'm so ugly I haven't had a single picture taken of me in more than twenty years... except for drivers license. I'm so ugly the only mirror in my house is above my bathroom sink and only about a foot square. | |

| I'm so ugly my mom had to wipe her butt on my forehead, as a child just so the family dog would come within sniffing range of me, so I could pet him. | |

My high school started their Wall of Honor this year, so maybe you should ask your high school to do it as well. I think all HSs should do it.
Since you're apparently unbearable to look at :face: , I think we can make an exception in your case and allow you to superimpose the head of some great patriot in place of yours. Perhaps Ronald Reagan (semi-great?), John Wayne, Thomas Jefferson, etc. Or maybe Waldo. Whatever suits your taste. :lol!:
Do you have Photoshop? | |

This is what truckdriving will do to you. You're not so bad. Do you have a rifle or sword to take a photo with? That would be cool. I had a truck driver friend who was uglier than you before he started driving, name of Kevin Kavanaugh. I can't imagine what years of truck driving have done to him... :affraid:
So, should we allow eber to post a photo with his head replaced by something less frightening? Although, since Halloween is just around the corner...

| Nope. No swords or weaponry. I don't really have a home. I live with people and have lived out over the road for 2.5 decades. I'm saving up for my retirement and then I'm buying a 5th wheel travel trailer, a duelly to haul it and I'm heading out to see everything North America has to offer.
I did have a 30.06, but gave it up when I went into the service. 8.5 years in, they had the early out program after the wall fell. I was a spec 4 p and they were phasing out my MOS. They told me that I could get out now and get $19,000 or be kicked out in 6 months with $9,000. I decided that I would beat the surge out and get me a good job before everybody else did. I ended up in a truck and I've been in one ever since.
I would like to get a 9mm, but I have nowhere to put it. I live with my cousin down near Waco, Tx and she has small kids. They aren't really into guns and every time I talk about getting one she looks at me the same way she would look at some little boy, eyeing her daughter. I'm kind of sure from the bill of my baseball cap bursting into fire that she is opposed to having guns in her house.

| If you want a 9mm, go ahead and get one. But, with kids around, I'd say get a trigger lock to put on it then lock it in a lock box designed to hold 9mm's. And you have a truck, so I'm assuming you have some kind of glove box or other storage hold you could lock the box into. Three sets of locks to keep the kids out. Then all you need to do is keep good control of your keys. Or get a small combination safe to put the box in and leave it at your sisters with a combo and two locks between it and the kids.

| It's not my truck. I'm not an owner operator and I get to the house about 4 days out of the month, which retty well makes having a gun a useless proposition.
Me company has a no weapon in the truck policy.

| I find it strange that someone living in Waco, Texas would not like guns. I thought Texans loved guns.
My advice is to buy a 9mm off the books  and get about 1,000 rounds of ammo for it, and lock everything in a secure metal box. With the gun-hater-in-chief reelected we have registration coming, and then confiscation, just as happened in the Weimar Republic. You and your sister will be needing them in the chaos to come, and guns and ammo will be hot items in the coming blackkk market.

Sorry for the delay POV - I missed this post. It's a Ruger Mini-14 and it fires the Remington .223 cartridge, which is very high velocity at about 3,000 fps. My wife bought it for me in New York but then the rat Gov. Pataki outlawed it (among others) and we moved to Colorado. I HATE New York.
So how 'bout you post a photo with you holding one of your favorite guns? :D
