| All those are true. However I fear you have done this for nothing. Why Newt will win it all. Because people think Newt is smart. He articulates himself well he can pronounce words correctly unlike the current commander and chief.
Frankly the republican party is sick of people who sound dumb.

In 2006, Gingrich backed censoring the web
By JOSH GERSTEIN | 1/21/12 5:30 PM EST
http://www.politico.com/blogs/under-the-radar/2012/01/in-gingrich-backed-censoring-the-web-111756.html
The question Thursday was about the Stop Online Piracy Act, legislation that has the support of the entertainment industry and powerful members of the House and Senate, but is now on life support after running into a firestorm of criticism from Internet users, tech companies like Google, and activists who shut down websites in protest earlier this week. But back in 2006, Gingrich argued censoring the Internet would be the right thing to do when it comes to Islamic radicals who use the web to organize jihad against the U.S.
"We need to get ahead of the curve rather than wait until we actually literally lose a city, which I think could literally happen in the next decade if we're unfortunate," Mr. Gingrich said during a speech in New Hampshire, according to a story I wrote at the time for The New York Sun. "We now should be impaneling people to look seriously at a level of supervision that we would never dream of if it weren't for the scale of the threat."
Gingrich's aides posted the audio on the web at the time, but the file seems to be gone now. My recollection is that the former House speaker didn't go into great detail, but suggested that a group of retired judges or other respected individuals should be empowered to shut down websites that foment anti-American violence. He did not explain how the U.S. would take down sites on servers beyond the reach of U.S. law.
At the time, Gingrich conceded that the kinds of controls he was proposing for the web would trigger "a serious debate about the First Amendment," but he said the intrusion was needed because of the apocalyptic nature of the threat posed by Islamic terrorists.

I am very aware of all of Newts problems. I am aware of all the candidates problems. Now I still have not made up my mind. I could very well end up voting for Ron Paul or any of the others. However out of all 4 Newt can connect he does not have some of the best ideas but he does connect.

| I say no to Newt because he is a disgusting man. He reminds me of a gad fly. Not to mention a hypocrit. Come on guys, it's only a crime if you get caught so he'll enact the laws to oppose anyone who opposes him. | |

| Got a little experience with dictators. My family lost a sugar cane planation in Cuba when Castro took over. We were sea faring people and the cane was haul here in our boats to sell in the US back in the day. Met my hispanic cousins due to Noriega in the 70's. I love being introduced at their x-mas parties as their gringo prima.

I had a friend from Cuba. She said she felt more free in Cuba than in the twisted little dictatorship of Freeport, New York, where she lived.

| Well living in a controlled environment does have it's advantages, I guess. I have friends who lived on a air base. All traffic was stopped at the gate and you better have id. She said they would drive around and measure the height of the grass with rulers. A few of the trade offs but it did have it's perks. It was strange for me since I had no prior experience with anything military.
I also knew a guy who was captured at the Bay of Pigs. He was traded back to the US for medical supplies in the 60's. He preferred it in the US, we would laugh and tell him as opposed to being in prision. he headed up the respirtatory tech team at the hospital that I worked at.
I quess in Cuba you don't own your house, the state does. I sure hope they provide one heck of a good grounds keeper.

You get to pay for it, as if you're buying it. But then you also get to pay the government a yearly rental fee in the form of "property taxes". And then they can seize your land at any time under Eminent Domain and pay you whatever they feel it's worth.

What made Freeport a dictatorship? Is that one of those communities where they can tell you what color you can paint your house, what plants you're allowed to plant, if you can fly a flag, etc?
