Joe Marsillo Apparently they must have the same law in California, That's why Scott Petersen was charged with 2 murders.....one of them the unborn child of which in most states murder is a capital offense, not sure what the article was trying to prove but any intelligent and reasonable person would know what the law was trying to protect. How silly!

Whether you agree with it or not fellas, the fact remains that it has been proposed in a state legislature & it's a current event. In these volatile times, anything could happen. Republicans in Texas removed slavery from the history books... & replaced it with the "triangular trade" & replaced Thomas Jefferson with John Calvin!!

Texas is the 2nd largest textbook buyer in the United States. Since publishers aren't going to make variations of their product, this will influence & impact education in the southern half of the country for decades to come!!

Get snarky & cynical all you like, but it's an all-out Cultural War of Beliefs!! The widening inefficiencies between the Haves & the Have Nots are being exploited!! As a member of the drowning Middle Class, I continue to support the party that has MY best interest at heart.

From 2000 to 2008, Republicans cut taxes twice (in '01 & '03) on borrowed money, started 2 unpaid for wars, restructured Medicare part D (Donut Hole), massively deregulated regulatory agencies & purposely underfunded Education, and by the end of 2009, over 8 million jobs were lost before Obama policies took effect.

In the 2 yrs that Obama's been in office, he hasn't been spending like a drunken sailor like you want to believe. He ended the accounting practices like mid-year emergency War supplementals & Annual FEMA funding, even though the Iraq War was costing over $12 Billion a month & previous presidents never budgeted FEMA. They just expected Hurricane Relief, Wildfire abatement, Mudslide & Tornado recovery to be paid for once they declared a "State of Emergency."

Arguably, the Economists on both sides said the stimulus wasn't large enough & the Bridge Loans Obama made to the Car Companies has reaped amazing dividends for the American people.See More

‎'Cynical'? Really? How about the whole Sally Mae, let them buy a house with less than good credit (brought forth and PROTECTED in congress by the Democrats EVEN WHEN THE REPUBLICANS SAID IT NEEDED TO BE REIGNED IN. Oh sure, all those that ...lost their homes should thank the party that allowed them to get into something their local APARTMENT managers wouldn't RENT to them with that credit. Or did you mean with that lack of education, also went with it a lack of READING skills to SEE the fine print that TOLD them what was gonna happen?
Speaking of the two wars, why was the person that DID leak the name of the CIA agent never prosecuted but the man that did NOT leak her name go to prison?
Funny how the same politicians who authorized the use of force, the ones with quote after quote all over the Internet about the need to remove Saddam Hussein from power were suddenly the same ones calling that war a mistake and full of lies. Especially Mrs. Clinton, who went out of her way to say that she had her OWN contacts that also agreed with what Bush was saying and Saddam needed to go.
Speaking of Saddam, his connections with Al Queda was known from as far back as 1993. Documents found in Iraq all supported that charge that Saddam had an on going agreement with that group that as long as they never attack Iraq, he would provide a safe haven, money and weapons. Don't listen to me, read the pentagon reports, it is all there.

Seriously, Barack Obama and his fellow Democrats have made the irresponsible spending by the Bush administration and a Republican Congress look positively puny by comparison. The largest deficit the Bush administration ran in his eight years was $466 billion in 2008.

In their first two budgets, Barack Obama and Democrats in Congress have run deficits more than triple that amount for fiscal years 2010 and 2011. According to the Office of Management and Budget, the federal deficit will increase by $9 trillion over the next decade.

And that’s optimistic. The actual amount will be much higher, since their estimate didn’t include the healthcare bill and additional spending planned by the Democrats.

So tell me again, other than Unions, who exactly HAS Obama and the Democrats helped? New jobs are not forthcoming, LOST jobs haven't come back, yet the deficit continues to go up and up and up.See More

Yes it is an all out cultural war, the haves, the successful and the have nots, the unsuccessful but don't forget the people in the middle. He/she goes to work everyday and works hard, they don't qualify for all these government programs and have to pay their own way and on top of that while paying for someone else who does qualify for some government hand out. They have benefits but have to contribute towards them, they don't get to retire in 20 or 25 years with a a full pention and health care for life for free. The real working PEOPLE in this country are fed up with with both extremes, tired of greedy banks, greedy wall street, tired of paying the way for others, tired of having their money confiscated by the government to pay outrages benefits for government workers.......These are the PEOPLE that made this country great, yes great, I am not ashamed to say it !!!!See More

Roger Crocker BP oil correct me if I am wrong happened on Obamas watch. Then he dithered could not make a decision for 2 weeks. Then he would not let foreign oil skimmers come in and help because of his union buddies.

The Gulf suffered because Obama could not make a decision. Now if you want to blame high oil prices blame socialist democrats. 5 years ago republicans wanted to drill in Alaska and off the coasts of America. The democrats said no it would take 5 years to see any benefit well it is 5 years later don't you think that it would look good right now. Democrats and Obama makes the wrong decision and everyday Americans have to suffer for it.
