Avatar will it be any good.

I am not sure if I want to go see Avatar or not. I am on the fence if I do it will be the matinee.

I wouldn't mind seeing it,though I would wait until it comes on pay per view.I know it's an anti military-anti capitalist movie,but I can usually overlook the plot for the action.

Im having mixed feelings about how good it is also. I have a free movie ticket so im going to wait a few weeks so I can use it.

If it is anti soldier as they say it is then I am afraid it might be doomed. No anti war movie has ever done any good except Platoon. Which I still love.

I added it to Netflix, that's the only way I'll watch it.

Sorry, I just couldn't finish District 9. Something about it echoed too much of 'real' life in those areas (Hell, in OUR country as well). As it went on, it just got worse and worse so my wife & I agreed to shut it off.

I just watched District 9 yesterday. It really sucked, looked way different in the previews. The previews made it look like a movie about aliens, in actuality it was a documentary about how dumb Africans are.

I loved the movie the ending was great. The ending is not like any typical sci fi ending I liked because it was different then the cookie sci fi you normally see. But hey that is just me.

I have seen Avatar and it was really good. The special effects were awesome however the storyline was average.

Reading a little about Cameron he was very much not a Bush supporter. Could not find out what he thinks about Obama though. I was not a big Bush fan but for different reasons then the liberals. So this might be the case with him? He for sure is a big advocate of the military and owns guns himself and supports using them if need be. If he is a liberal he is not your average one.

The whole idea that this is a "violent right wing fantasy" is ridiculous. If anything it is a left wing fantasy.

After depleting the Earth of resources, the evil greedy corporations and their violent soldiers attack the peaceful hippy Indian aliens... and they lose. Obviously it's the Libs who view corporations and soldiers as evil, plus we have the added layer of "you should have listened to us about global warming/green Earth!". The article was meant to be tongue in cheek .I believe the whole Natural Fake website is sarcastic;thus the name Natural Fake.

I still would like to see the movie,I just don't go to movies anymore.Most reviewers I have read say the plot is rather weak,but that doesn't bother me to much.Hey I liked the Star Wars prequels.
As for the story being left leaning,I can put up with it just so long as it doesn't get to preachy.I quit watching BSG when they started the suicide bombings.That just pissed me off to no end.Suicide bombers are the lowest form of human life next to those who promote it.

First 2 seasons of BSG was brilliant. The last 2 was crap pure and simple crap. I have no desire to watch Caprica. I might watch the plan.

Let me say im a big sucker for good versus evil plots. And im just as big of a sucker for the good guy always winning the day. The special effects with the 3D glasses was fantastic! For it felt like these were real living beings.

This movie could have been in the great department. But they had to go and give that feeling like the military is evil and all corporations are just as bad. And the thing is I found myself really liking the characters in the movie. But it gets so old that they go after people who defend this country and make them look bad. And go after companys that overall have made our standard of living the best on the planet. It could have been so much more!

Just never could get in BSG. Just to down right depressing of a show. I felt like crap every time I watched it. In the begining I was hoping something more in the lines of the original where there always was hope and possibilitys. I thought I heard their making a movie and the original creator will be making it. So it should be more to my liking.
