I pasted this from another forum because this explains exactly the way im feeling about the ending of lost after putting in all this time until the end. How about you guys?
See the problem everyone is having is ....They tuned in to find out the mystery of the island. What is the power source? What is the wheel and how does it move the island? How does it heal people? How does it grant immortality? Why does it make one man a smoke monster and another be able to pull out the stone? How does jacob watch people? How does he control people and planes and boats? What is the light? What WAS going to happen if the stone wasn't put back?
They answered NOTHING. The last episodes are to show how Jack died saving the island and how they met up to advance to Heaven or Hell together..... But the ISLAND is not Heaven or Hell....or even Purgatory. It was a magical Island that Jack died saving. But why?
Why is saving the Island....worth saving?
The confusion isn't what does the last two episodes mean...It is WHY THE HELL DIDN'T THEY EXPLAIN WHAT THE HELL THE ISLAND IS???!!!
