Longmire is back!!!!!

The new season of Longmire, along with the past seasons, is available for streaming on Netflix as of now!!!

Yay! Man I have to get this quick before someone tells me what happened after the season cliffhanger. The last episode was as good as those great Farscape cliffhangers

Anybody watch this on Netflix yet? I'm so far behind on tv shows I've not gotten to it yet. I'm wondering if it seems the same, or low budget now.

To start off, I'll answer my own question from the previous post. I have now watched the first Netflix season of Longmire (season4) and I'm happy to say it seems very much the same quality all around and was a very good season.

That said... Good news everybody!

Season 5 of Longmire is now available on Netflix!

One day I'll have to get Netflix.

It's worth it. The cost is about $10 a month for streaming, so you could easily get it for a single month to watch just the two Longmire seasons. That said, there is a lot of other great Netflix series not to mention tv series and movies to stream as well.

I personally love "house of cards" (political drama you'd swear was based on the Clintons), "Hemlock Grove" (very weird monster drama), and I really enjoy "orange is the new black" (womens prison drama) as well.

Another favorite is one of Netflix's first, "Lilyhammer". Picture a slightly funnier, slightly less violent, "Sopranos" set in Norway. A stereotypical New York Italian mobster moves to Norway for witness protection. He then begins to build his own business while relying on typical mobster tactics. Add in that his crew is a bunch of Norwegian hilly billy types, and it is just a great show all around. If you were a Sopranos fan, I'm sure you'd like this wacky take on that genre.

Looking at that list myself, I realize I've barely touched on their original programming. The Marvel shows top the list of stuff I plan on seeing, but as usual, I'm way behind in viewing already which makes fitting the new shows in very difficult.

I usually end up watching dvds on the weekends, and recorded tv shows the rest of the week and only get to the streaming when I catch up on the tv shows.... which is pretty much never anymore. I think I'll start making Fridays my day to watch streaming. I'll still be behind all the way around, but I'll at least be getting into everything a little more evenly. That's definitely a "first world problem" when I'm trying to find time to watch more programming. :face:

Incredibly, $10/month is too much for us right now. Our rent went up by $100/month, and that's draining us nearly dry after all the other bills are paid.
But when it becomes possible, I'll subscribe to Netflix. Sci-Fi shows always interest me, as well as comedies, action movies and many series. I'll look forward to that.

We do watch the Strain, and some of our other faves just ended, such as Dark Matter, Killjoys, and The Last Ship.

Good news/bad news. There will be another season of Longmire (season 6), but it will be the last. Guess I can't complain to much, six or seven seasons is about the max length of most hour shows. And thanks to Netflix at least the show gets to end properly.
