"Red Hood" Empty
PostSubject: "Red Hood"   "Red Hood" EmptyMon Mar 02, 2015 8:18 pm

"A group of five bandits hits up a bank with concealment over their faces and one of them wearing a red hood, stealing from the bank itself and dispersing some of the money to ensure their escape. When Gordon and Bullock speak to the bank's employees, they realize this was a pro job and they had scouted the place last week to determine their timing. Tracking down one of the thieves from security footage, they find the thief Gus Floyd (Michael Goldsmith) dead and his hood gone, taken by Clyde Destro (Jonny Coyne). Meanwhile, Oswald's is still struggling especially once it runs out of alcohol which is sold to the club by Maroni. So Butch uses some cops on his payroll to seize much of Maroni's supply for Cobblepot. The Red Hood Gang hits another bank using the same MO. With the assistance of a witness, Gordon and Bullock track down Destro, finding him wounded by a third member who took the mask. Fish meets with the unnamed prison manager (Jeffrey Combs) as his boss Dr. Francis Dulmacher is currently away. As the manager tries to take her eyes for transplant, Fish removes her own left eye and destroys it to keep it out of their hands before passing out. An old friend of Alfred's named Reginald Payne (David O'Hara) arrives at Wayne Manor homeless and unemployed and he gets taken in for a day. However, when Alfred catches him stealing from the study, Payne stabs Alfred and flees. Bruce finds Alfred wounded. Identifying the next target, the GCPD surprises the Red Hood Gang who are gunned down in a firefight with the police. Gordon is then told about what happened to Alfred. Reginald reports to Molly Mathis and the Wayne Enterprises board about the suspicions that Bruce had found on them. While the police aren't looking, the red hood is found by an unknown child."

The whole red hood part of this episodes was really well done. I remember reading the comic they based that plot off. All the gang members killing each other one by one in order to get the hood for themselves. They shortened the number of members it went through for the ep, but they still did the story well. The stuff with Wayne Enterprises trying to stop Bruce was also well done and interesting. Can't wait to see more...

However, this whole thing with Fish Mooney in the parts hospital is just nonsense. She's in charge of the prisoners just because she has the only knife? Why in the world would all those big scary guys be afraid of her because she has a knife? Any one of them could man handle her like the little bimbo she is and take the knife from her. But for no apparent reason they all follow her... fine. But all the guards had to do was shoot her, either in the cage or after taking her out. No reason not too, at all. And now she rips her own eyeball out and stomps on it? Why would they even care, just shoot the dumb bimbo already. They keep playing the whole thing like she has some kind of power in the situation, when in reality she has none. When she ripped her own eye out, they should have just laughed at her then blown her head off. They've so badly written her character since being taken at sea, that I just want her to die. They've ruined her character to the point where she just needs to go.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in Fish Mooney part of the overall "Batman" universe? I've never heard of her till this series.

Maybe they're doing things with that character because it's the only one who they can really make changes to.. Riddler, Joker, Penguin and others from the franchise are limited, they can't make changes to those characters without disregarding canon.

No, they made her up for this series. It's one thing to do things with her character, but they should make a lick of sense.
