Why all the hatred?

Why all the hatred toward the movie American Sniper? I have not seen it yet plan on seeing it today. But from what I heard it was a great movie. From what trailers I have seen it has looked great.

I don't know a whole lot about the movie. All I do know that might explain it is that the guy who wrote the book this is based on was caught lying about stuff in his book.

No it was Jesse Ventura the nut bag who said he never got into a fight with Chris Kyle. Seen the movie yesterday. Best portrayal of military I have seen in a movie to date.

Well I guess that depends on who you believe. The author claimed that Ventura in 2006 said something along the lines that he was glad Navy Seals got killed in Iraq, and that he then proceeded to punch Ventura out. Ventura said that was lie, that he'd never meet the guy and he'd never said that. The courts found for Ventura and the publisher pulled that part of the book.

Since Ventura is himself retired Navy and a conservative, I doubt he'd say anything like that. Also this supposedly happened in a crowded military bar. With a celebrity like Ventura, former Governor and pro wrestler, this would have been everywhere back in 2006. Instead nobody ever heard of it until this guys book came out a couple years ago.

So yeah, I'd say the guy lied about the whole incident. And if he lied about that to make his book more interesting, he probably lied about and exaggerated a bunch of stuff in his book. All of that aside, liberal douches like Michael Moore who actually are glad when our military get killed, will hate this movie because it doesn't portray our military negatively.

That has nothing to do with the question Vulcan asked. He specified Snipers, not the military in general. There are more conservatives that decry the use of Snipers, than any other political group. But regardless of political affiliation, the moral and ethical debate is as old as the sniper themselves, and understood by most.

Which explains any hatred. It's not polite to portray our military in a positive light.

Ventura is not a conservative. I do not know what he is but he has changed since he was governor. But Ventura went to court after Kyle was killed but still the movie was great and that was the only incident.

Snipers are a vital part of the military just like Jets tanks and the ground pounder. We all know that.

He asked why they don't like this particular movie. The fact that it is a military movie and people hate the military has everything to do with what he asked.

So I went seen the movie Sat. I now know why they hate it. Because they portray the brutality of radical Islam. If you want to see what we are up against watch the movie. That is why the left hates it.

That definitely explains it. I plan on seeing it, but it won't be until it comes out on dvd.
