Is John McCain and his ilk destroying the republican party? Everyone is saying the TEA party is but I am not a believer of that I think the RINOs have done far more damage to the republicans than the democrats have ever done. A moderate republican has never won the presidency. They have tried it with Ford, McCain, Romney never worked out for them. Bush Jr ran a conservative but the competition was not all that great he ended up winning. But he became a moderate. However Al Gore would have been worse.

I think the war on the TEA party by McCain, Christy and others does the party no good. People are looking for bold differences. When Romney ran 4 million republican voters stayed home.

I think the best thing would be for the party to split. Let McCain have his RINOs. Let's see how long that lasts. I for one would leave the republican party and Join the Ted Cruz's and Rand Pauls.

It's actually quite simple. The Republican party, on a national level, has sold out their core ideas & values in favor of big business & NWO interests. They no longer represent the Conservative people of this country. The Tea Party, although not an official party, more accurately represents the interests of those folks.

However, in today's politics, it takes money, and lots of it to gain any traction.

The "Tea Party" doesn't have access to the financial resources to usurp the Republicans or challenge the Democrats on a wide scale.

The vast majority of Teapartiers already share the views of an existing third party, the Constitution Party Party. If they'd all move their support and donations over there, it would be a good start.

I think that Americans are really fed up with both parties. Your right about the republicans they have sold out.

Liberals are quite happy with the Democrats, particularly this administration, representing their interests. Or at the very least, they're alot more satisfied with their representation than we on the right are with ours. At least their representative are behaving as advertised.

Ours are saying one thing and doing quite another. One of the best examples is illegal immigration. Republicans claim to be the party of law and order, but are all too eager to be soft on illegal immigration in order to keep downward pressure on wages for their business pals.
They don't want any government regulation on pricing of their products, but they certainly are fine with government policy artificially suppressing wage rates by allowing a flood of workers to enter the labor market.

I would have to agree with that. But also you can lump democrats in with that also. They have big business buddies also.
