OK, I have MS, you ALL know this by now, but here is what I am noticing is going on in MY body (sorry, no real 'drug' history like Heroin or whatnot. Just my LEGAL history!)
Since 2000, I had taken Vicodin for my nerve pain, and it worked. At first, it knocked me out,but after a while, I could take it without being AS loopy. Last year, I became allergic to it. In 2000, for my major pains, I was sent to a pain specialist,he prescribed me Oxycontin. May as well give my Skittles for all the good it did! I was taking the max legal amount and never felt a thing from it! So,adios THAT stuff, now I will never know why people get hooked on it, but whatever, not really what I needed to experience, right?
In 2000, I was taking Provigil to keep my head focused. Worked VERY well, too. In 2012 I became allergic to it. I also became allergic to the cheaper version of it,Neuvigil. BOTH gave my legs serious restlessness! Grrr.
All through my life, I’ve taken various forms of penicillin, two months ago, while on Amoxicillin, I started bleeding from my intestines. An allergic reaction! So,no more penicillin related drugs for me!
Tramodol is another I USED to be able to take, but not any longer.
Flexeril is also the one that gave me the Hives I experienced a few months ago. (Yes, one I used to be able to take!)
Neurontin is one that nearly made me HANG myself! No kidding, it really did! Luckily, I wasn’t on THAT for longer than a two days!
So, I am still feeling the hives (no, they aren’t there, just my nerves still feel them, kind of like phantom pains of amputees, I reckon!)
So, that is a slice of MY life as a 45 year old man. I even stopped smoking a year ago. I don’t wanna go back, but still. Luckily for me, I didn’t quit for health reasons, I just quit because I wanted to!
My friends, peeps and stalkers, don’t worry, for I am in the arms of My loving God who has promised me a new body, one with no illness, a perfect body! All Praise to HIM for ever and ever, amen. That is why you will never see me sad, but always with a smile!
