I think the heat gets turned up a notch on 2011 but it won't really start to boil till' 2012 and the Presidential elections.
Tyranny, thanks to the likes of massive tools like Janet Napolitano will continue to grow. More incidents of publics' individual rights being trampled on, more denial by the gov't spokepersons, more PC run amok...
The crisis in our economic system due to several bubbles getting ready to burst: the bubble over frantic federal attempts to continue sustaining state and local govt's that are close to bankruptcy, the contining burgeoning bubble in the housing market, the bubble over gov't pensions as the lack of funds is coming to a head with the unsustainable number of retired gov't workers, the QE (Quantatative Easing) bubble as Bernanke mentions there *might* even have to be a QE3 and $#%@ QE4.. how do you think the other countries are going to react to that news? Russia and China have already taken steps to trade in the Chinse yuan replacing the dollar in gas imports between the two countries. This is huge.
The Republicans wanted the power, now they got the power. They will have to show whether the public was right in the 2010 elections. It's not looking good so far... But I think in 2011 we will start to see public hearings on many things that were kept quiet thanks to the previous Democratic majority in the Congress. Get ready for some scandals as abuses of power come to light.
