I've seen this happen so many times over the years. It's happened here.
I understand, a board owner/creator has their own vision, on what they want the board to be. But what's more important, is what the members want it to be. You have to be tuned into that. You tell them, "my board, my rules, my way", they simply won't post. Then you'll be stuck with a dead board.
For the last 5 months, I've been a "Probie" there. Still am. I posted a total of 4 times, before my last post got moderated. I broke no rules, didn't insult anyone, nor was I talking about politics/religion, or using cuss words. No reason for it, nor explanation. Not in PM or via E-mail.
That will kill a board uber fast. Proof is that their active members are not happy about it, and being ignored.
I wish Darren the best of luck with his site/board, but like the series he devoted it to, it's gonna die.
