From what I heard, and this might not be true since I only read it as somebodies comment on an article somewhere, all they have actually done is split the first season into two parts. The second part of the season will air next year as season two. I can kind of believe this, after all other channels do this all the time. Styfy for example, did this with Haven and other shows. It allows Styfy to get two "seasons" worth of shows for half the price. If it's true, CBS might be doing this to judge how many returning viewers they get. If next year the numbers really drop then they can cancel without having put in more money. Unfortunately, you'll never get to see the numbers. Unlike tv viewership which can be tracked outside the network, this streaming show can only be tracked via counting subscribers who click on the show, and those numbers are only available to CBS. | |
