That's the stupidest d@mn thing I think I've ever heard. Having to produce photo ID to vote is a racist "jim crow" law?!?!?!? Nonsense.
He starts out saying that barring felons from voting is racist against blacks... first off I don't think felons should be allowed to vote, it's been that way forever, or close to it. I know two white guys that have felonies on their records and they can't vote. So this guys contention that the law is against blacks is false. What it really seems like he's saying is that large numbers of blacks are felons so can't vote and that makes it racist. If that's true, then the problem is correcting the behavior of that segment of blacks prone to becoming criminals, not changing the law to allow them to vote. It's also illegal for felons to own firearms, should we change that as well so as to not be racist?
And boohoo you need an ID to vote. Who doesn't have photo ID in this day and age? You can't do a d@mn thing including renting a motel room without one. And yeah it costs money, $25 for a drivers license in Michigan, $15 for just a state ID. And some of these people have to get a copy of their birth certificate first, which cost more money, $10-$15 everywhere I've ever heard of. So about $40 bucks at the most. Anybody that is that hard up is probably already on welfare, or qualify for it, so they don't have to pay it anyway.
And some of these people were born DECADES ago and don't have birth certificates... well why didn't they fix that problem over all those DECADES when it came up a thousands times before? Hell you can't even enroll a kid in school without showing their birth certificate!
So apparently these people were born in some back woods shack decades ago, never went to school, never went to the doctor, never got a drivers license, never rented a motel room, never rented any tools or appliances, never bought anything on credit, or layaway...
The Mom just pooped them out one day at home alone, and then the parents locked them in the house for several DECADES. And nobody except themselves and their parents even know they exist... but now they suddenly want to vote and we're not allowed to say, "Who the hell are you"? BULLSHIT
Even if that bizarre scenario is remotely possible, how many people are we talking about? Maybe a couple hundred nation wide?
The whole scenario is ridiculous to begin with, and if there are people like that, they need to get their sh*t straighten out for a million reason besides voting! And to claim that it's racist is just so dumb it hurts.
