Happy Birthday, Reagan. I know it was earlier, but I just read THIS article and wanted to share!
Top 10 Reagan Achievements - HUMAN EVENTS
www.humanevents.com
Ending the Cold War at long last, battering inflation and unemployment, maintaining the U.S. as a military superpower, and giving voice to family values and infectious optimism are just a few of one of our greatest President's accomplishments.

Vince Guzman Great post Walter. This reminded me of how terrible a president Carter was and how retched a president Obama is. Compared to Regan, they have no business in the Oval Office.

@ Walter - Horrible post Walter!!! I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. First thing that comes to my mind is his repeated references to the "Welfare Queens of Chicago" talking about urban black women & "Strapping young bucks buying ...T-bones w/food stamps" quote when talking about young black men. His affection for the racist Bob Jones University & how Republican Candidates that want to dogwhistle to white southern racists always announce from either BJU or Philadelphia, Miss. (site of the 3 Civil Rights workers murder) and profess their support for States' Rights. IMHO, Reagan was a geriatric stain that we're still recovering from.
@ Vince - Reagan was Muppet!! Iran/Contra, Granada, Savings & Loan Scandal, Black Monday, & he put the trick in Supply-side, trickle-down Economics!! George H.W. Bush was right when he called it "VooDoo Economics!"See More

@ Charles, your boy Clinton did such a 'bang up job; with more welfare money for having more children but NO need to say who the father was, right? Or, speaking from a California native, how he tried to say he stopped Gang Violence in LA c...ounty when what was REALLY done was the families of said gangs were just moved to surrounding counties, where THEIR crime rate went up the same amount as LA's went down.
Let's talk numbers, what was the inflation when Reagan took over? The unemployment rate? How many minorities were going to COLLEGE when Carter was in? When Reagan was in? How about how many people, we MINORITIES were HOSED back to the early 50s once the Mae's finished doing THEIR thing? Yes, the Savings & Loan scandal WAS bad, why then did nobody else learn from that lesson? You do realize had America never started down the road to GLOBALISM with NAFTA, things would be a lot more stable for this country. Of course, going back to S&L, business sense tells us IF a company is not doing what they claim, stop GIVING them business, then they will either correct themselves our go OUT of business. Japan's banks went through the same thing OUR banks did. What did they do at that time? Though THOSE affected banks were begging for their government to come in with more money to rescue THEM, Japan's government said, NO. In the banks that were obviously NOT good businesses were bought by larger banks that WERE good at being BANKS. After that, Japan's economy stabilized and grew. Now, come forward ten years and OUR banks were faced with that same conundrum, and instead of allowing the stronger, better run banks to take over those that really weren't, we 'gave' them OUR money to 'save' them. By the way, there are STILL banks going out of business as we speak, just like MOST of those home being foreclosed are still being taken BECAUSE THE OWNERS HAD NO BUSINESS BUYING A HOME TO BEGIN WITH!
So, tell me again how much greater YOUR party is over ANY other party? Well, better that the Republican party that is.

Vince Guzman Charles, I had a nice, long, response typed up for you and accidentally deleted it somehow. Not going to type it again. Instead I suggest you read Walter Williams or Thomas Sowell. Thank God for Ronald Reagan.

Walter Hawthorne Charles, of course, we'll overlook that 'small' racist comment by VP Biden BEFORE Obama won the candidacy to run for PRESIDENT over Biden, 'He speaks well FOR A BLACK MAN'! But of course, since he IS of the party YOU seem to adore, NOTHING done is wrong and ALL words FORGIVEN, right?
