Politics and Economics Empty
PostSubject: Politics and Economics   Politics and Economics EmptySat Jul 25, 2015 8:42 pm

Remember the Civil War from your History? Many believe it was over slavery, when it wasn't. And to be clear, by slavery, I'm talking about the enslavement of black Africans. It was over politics, economics and social class.

A couple of weeks ago, I came across this article. After I read it, it really resonated with me, as I see it every day. Looking back through my life, regardless of where in the US I was living at the time, it was there too.

Still want to know why you have to "press 1" to hear English? Read on.

Don't buy it, the same economic model was used in the northern States as well. You think all those Irish, German, etc immigrants in places like New York were any better off? Don't count on it. Workers have always been exploited, and the big industry models for doing so all started in the North.

Everything the article says about the treatment of workers is true, except the idea that it was a "Southernomics" thing. The only thing that stopped all of that, or at least helped it, were unions. And yet today most people are so dumb they all hate unions and want to do away with them. If that happens, we'll have eight year olds working sixteen hour days in factories for fifty cents a day again just like in Asia. Of course the unions brought a lot of those feelings on themselves by being corrupt, but we still need them.

Like it or not, the article is true. History has already been written, so your opinion is pointless.

Lol, as I said the article is correct in every way OTHER than claiming it is a Southern thing. Industry in this country all started in the north. The article talks about "busting unions", when in fact these things were going on LONG before unions existed. Unions were created because of these policies. There was next to zero industry in the south until after the war, when a bunch of Northern carpetbaggers took over down there and brought their polices and business practices with them. You're right, history has been written, and now it is once again being rewritten for clueless people who want to believe Southerners are all evil, so they believe anything as long as it pushes that idea. But the REAL facts are always pointed.

But you don't want any honest responses to this anyway, you're just looking to cause more problems. Don't know why you get into this mood from time to time, but you sure do. Here's an idea for you when you post something like this, the things where you expect everybody to say EXACTLY what you want to hear back at you. You can just base any future posts off the below form...

"I'm Bandit and I know everything because I just read it in a nonsense article, and I believe everything I read as long as it agrees with what I already think without an basis in fact or proof. Blah blah blah, nonsense link, tell everybody what they are supposed to think and believe, blah blah......... blah."

And here is the part that will really make a change in your posts and make sure that people only say what you want to hear...

"Below I, Bandit, have written out exactly the response I expect to hear. Please cut and past it EXACTLY as I've written it. And don't you dare express any other opinions, thoughts, or especially facts.

cut here.....
You are so totally awesome, and correct Bandit! About whatever it is you're spouting today. I agree, or disagree, wholeheartedly... whichever you'd prefer to hear at this time. I am not worthy, I am not worthy!
cut here.....

And that should solve you're problem. I'll even test it to make sure.

Again, the article is fact, bolstered by direct quotes from Historians, Economics Professors and other learned scholars, most by name. These are all people that have EARNED the right to be considered "experts", in the subject matter being discussed.

But YOU say they have it wrong. I'm sure they never read "American History and Economics according to Professor Eber". How they got their many degrees without your approval is beyond my understanding.

You keep saying you are going to ignore my posts, but won't. Please start.
