| Were all political junkies here, anybody else get burned out about hearing anything at all with politics in it. The past 4 weeks have not listened to any talk radio at all. But have been taking advantage of our local library and been listening to audio books of all the Mitch Rapp novels. Just helping to harden my stand against Ron Pauls foriegn ideas. But thats for another topic. Anyways im sure that interest will come back soon enough. | |

Actually I only listen to Rush on the way home for only half an hour and then turn it to rock. But that is what the left wants. To burn you out.

You can't make your life politics everyday of every minute. I wish people would use the general discussion and show threads more. Because there is a lot more to talk about then politics.

| Ive tried many times to start some run of the mill topics here of just shooten the breeze topics to sharing pictures hoping others would start some of there own. But we have a pretty serious group here. Or just others not really wanting to post anything in that way. Not saying thats bad. It just is what it is. Maybe if we grow more some others will get into it. | |

| My friends and I are on hiatus. We figured we are all of an age where we don't need to elevate our blood pressure. Did watch the hilarious documentary on Clinton. Had my mixed drink ready to laugh my butt off at his arrogance. Didn't like part 2 as much as part 1. Those 2 have made me laugh like no other. Enjoyed Primary Colors. My date decided that I was too smart for him since he noticed that I was catching the humor way before the audience. It was for the best.

| It's easy to get burned out these days. There is so much government intrusion into so many areas of our lives that it's almost impossible to keep fighting it all. Government power and control just keeps expanding and it's like fighting a thousand-headed hydra!
And this expansion of tyranny is due to the lawlessness of our diseased federal government which has abandoned Constitutional limitations on its power. That's why we have to STOP voting for "anybody but the Democrat" or "anybody but the Republican" - BOTH parties are enslaving us!

| Personally, I think they are almost all on the cusp of corruption. they vote in laws that exclude them. Aren't they supposed to be for the people. No wait that is the constitution that they are suppose to uphold. | |

You're right. Power corrupts, and the longer most politicians are in power, the more corrupt they become. Most of congress is as corrupt as a two-week old dead cat in the road. It takes men of extraordinary integrity to avoid all the temptations in politics., and Ron Paul is one of the very few who have kept clean.
A good book I read about corruption in congress is called: " Hill Rat: Blowing the Lid Off Congress," by John L. Jackley.http://www.amazon.com/Hill-Rat-Blowing-Lid-Congress/dp/089526529X
